Creativity in Context

Allwrite Productions develops stories and produces concepts for film, television, theater, and digital media. Based in Atlanta, we bring together storytelling, writing, performance, and production to help ideas take shape for an audience.

From Idea to Expression

Some projects begin with a single question, a melody, or an unforgettable experience. Others arrive as books, scripts, or concepts that need a clearer direction.

We believe a production begins with understanding what an idea has to say and why it matters. That understanding guides the choices that bring its characters, emotions, and meaning into focus, whether the work is heard through music, experienced on stage, or seen on screen.

Our creative work includes concept development, writing, script consulting, adaptation, and production. Each project calls for its own approach, shaped by the material, the intended audience, and the demands of the medium.

What We Produce

Plays

We develop and produce stories for the stage. Character, dialogue, movement, and live performance work together to create an experience shared by performers and audiences.

Music

We produce music as a creative expression in its own right and as part of a larger storytelling experience. Each project considers how sound, performance, and emotion work together to connect with listeners.

Movies

We develop and produce films, including original stories and adaptations. Our approach connects the work of shaping a screenplay with the visual and performance choices that bring it to life.

Television

We develop and produce television projects with attention to concept, format, and audience. The creative process considers both the immediate story and the possibilities for sustained viewer engagement.

Video Production

We create video content that gives ideas a clear visual form. We consider the message, intended audience, and viewing context when shaping the production.

Meet the Founder

Annette Purkiss Johnson

Annette Purkiss Johnson is a writer, producer, director, and the founder of Allwrite Productions. Her work spans publishing and production, bringing an editorial understanding of language and structure to stories developed for performance and visual media.

Annette holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Florida State University and a master’s degree in journalism from Florida International University. Her background as an author, editor, and former collegiate instructor informs an approach grounded in thoughtful questions, purposeful development, and clear communication.

Across her creative work, she is drawn to the relationships, choices, and circumstances that shape people’s lives. She brings that interest to stories with the capacity to entertain, inspire, and encourage reflection.

A Collaborative Approach

Creative development begins with listening to the person behind the idea and to the possibilities within the material. We work to understand the project’s purpose, identify what needs development, and establish a practical direction.

That process involves both imagination and revision. We examine what serves the work, strengthen what connects with an audience, and make deliberate choices about how the project can move forward.
